One of the highlights of the Santos Populares is the Marchas Populares, a colourful parade where Lisbon’s neighbourhoods compete with music, choreography, costumes and traditional songs.
The parade takes place on Avenida da Liberdade, one of the city’s grandest avenues and within easy reach of Lisboa Central Park.
It is one of the most iconic nights of the Lisbon calendar and a wonderful opportunity to experience the city’s local pride, creativity and community spirit.
Guests can enjoy the atmosphere of the parade and then return easily to the comfort of the hotel, without needing to stay in the busiest nightlife areas.

Throughout June, Lisbon’s streets are decorated with colourful garlands and filled with open-air parties known as arraiais. These neighbourhood celebrations bring together music, dancing, grilled sardines, bifanas, caldo verde, drinks, and a festive atmosphere that continues late into the night.
Some of the most traditional arraiais take place in Alfama, Mouraria, Graça, Bica, Bairro Alto and Santos — all easy to reach from Lisboa Central Park by metro, taxi, or a pleasant evening walk depending on your plans.
